The Student Health Center, including Counseling and Psychological Services, is available remotely while campus access remains restricted. We plan to resume in-person services once campus reopens on Monday, January 13, 2025.

The Student Health Center is open for virtual services for non-emergencies. Please call 323-343-3302 or login into the SHC patient portal to schedule an appointment. They check messages regularly and will return your call as soon as possible.

- Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is open for virtual or telephone sessions. Please leave a message when you call 323-343-3314 and they will return your call in a timely manner as messages are being checked regularly during business hours. If you have a Zoom appointment scheduled, please check your email as well as the SHC patient portal (see message tab for Zoom link). If you have already seen the same counselor, the Zoom link is the same as before.
Basic Needs
- Basic Needs Emergency and Off-Campus Housing Grant:
- Offers financial aid of up to $1,000 for essential needs such as food and clothing.
- Offers financial assistance of up to $2,000 to help ensure off-campus housing security.
- Emergency Temporary Housing Program:
- Offers short-term housing for students displaced by the fire.
- Housing is provided on-campus for up to 14 days.

- Safe Parking LA – employs underused parking lots to support those whose only shelter is their vehicle
- LA Room and Board – supports students experiencing homelessness
- Jovenes Inc. – supports youth (ages 18-24) experiencing homelessness
- Youth Moving On –community-based services including mental health
- Seed House Project – community-based service, education, and connection program
- Volunteers of America Youth Services Program – housing assistance for those between the ages of 18-24
- Sunnyside Five Student Housing – supports students experiencing homelessness
- Trojan Shelter – shelter open to college students ages 18-26, not just USC students.
- Lutheran Social Services Southern California Housing Counseling - housing counseling services.
